This urban planning project, in front of one of Europe’s most important wetlands reserves, recovers the natural habitat along the Guadalquivir River, and regenerates the original marshes. The Subregional Urban Planning Law of the Northwest Coast of Cadiz qualifies the Sector as an “area to boost tourism development”; thus the City Council of Trebujena is processing an amendment to the General Urban Planning Law of Trebujena, allowing for the residential use in the Sector.
The 235-acre resort includes a golf course, 300 houses, hotels and apartments. The project simulates the natural habitat of the Doñana Park and includes: a regeneration of the original marshes by the Guadalquivir riverfront, a links golf (natural terrain, along the water) and the design of organic water ways that structure the hotel and residential areas.
